Reliability Data Analysis and Modeling Engineer Job in Boulder 80301, Colorado US
Seagate is seeking an Engineer to
join our Reliability Data Analysis and Modeling team in Longmont,
Colorado. Engineers in this team are responsible for the following:

Be the go-to reliability theory and data analysis person in the company
·
Conceives and develops solutions to engineering and manufacturing problems
through reliability analysis, predictions, modeling and data analysis.
·
Establishes process improvements and actively helps implementing tools and
techniques in production.
·
Spearheads the implementation of such improvements on next-generation programs.
·
Works on issues that affect product quality and yield through intelligent
analysis of product certification and reliability efficiencies.
·
Creates formal networks with key decision makers and, when needed, serves as
external spokesperson for the organization.
·
The candidate will be offered wide latitude in determining objectives and
approaches to critical assignments.
·
Beyond analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, creativity is also a
key aspect of this job, as unconventional concepts and out-of-the-box solutions
are needed.
·
The candidate must have the ability to work independently to shape and develop
projects. Strong programming skills are desired (JMP, Matlab and/or C
programming background, ) and experience in numerical process modeling and optimization
would be very desirable attributes.
REQUIRED
·
Ph.D degree in Engineering,
Reliability, or Math/Statistics
·
3 years of professional work experience.
·
Experience with reliability theory and practices
·
Data processing and analysis skills
·
1 or more years of experience in
data analysis, reliability analysis, and/or modeling, predictions
