Reliability Superintendent
Overview:
We are currently seeking a Reliability Superintendent for our New Wales, FL location. The purpose of this position is to direct and manage Maintenance and Reliability activities for operational facilities to insure alignment with business strategy and achievement of maximizing asset life and productivity. This includes:
- Develop site action plans with alternatives for a timely repair of processes/equipment and to avoid future failures through reliability processes.
- Support operations, maintenance, engineering and procurement activities to assure asset life and productivity are maximized.
- Strategically lead the reliability effort of the facility in a proactive direction.
- Responsible for communicating on the status of compliance.
- Responsible for ensuring adequate training of area personnel.
- Responsible for conducting audits and ensuring completion of safety audits, lockout audits, and housekeeping tours in accordance with Safety Performance Indicators and Environmental Index.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate short and long term site maintenance reliability strategies in conjunction with department leaders.
- Provide oversight and direction for all site maintenance reliability activities (including predictive and preventive maintenance).
- Lead reliability audit team for assessment of all departments and processes.
- Manage reliability staff focusing on the utilization of standard processes to identify deficiencies in equipment to systematically improve processes by eliminating defects.
- Lead in the development of capital plans in the area of reliability.
- Facilitate training and development of all site employees to improve the workflow process and overall site knowledge. Work with Operations and Maintenance Superintendents to hold all participants accountable to following the reliability process.
- Ensure that appropriate tools are utilized to promote proactive maintenance and minimize defects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Reliability Engineering discipline and 5 years of maintenance reliability/operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CMRP certification, Green Belt after 5 years, Lean Ops and Waste Reduction Training after two years.
- Kaizen problem solving, Rapid Action, 8 step knowledge/experience.
- Requires strong knowledge and understanding of current technology on predictive maintenance (PdM), preventive maintenance (PM), computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and reliability-based maintenance practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Maximo, Statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with emphasis on developing high performance teams.
- Excellent motivational, organizationals, communication and interpersonal skills.
