The Role
This career defining role will suit a motivated and ambitious Fixed Plant Reliability Engineer who wishes to develop their leadership skills. This company supplies three main types of coal from their open cut operation to a variety of markets throughout the southern hemisphere. This opportunity will give you the freedom to make important maintenance decisions in a democratic way, proving your ability to set high standards for the newly commissioned CHPP.
You
Reporting to the CHPP Manager, the new Superintendent will bring solid Process Plant experience ideally in Coal Handling, coordinating the smooth transition of product from Pit to Port.
In this role you will undertake the following responsibilities;
- Establish operations through generation of effective management plan
- Communicating maintenance plans and monitoring execution feedback
- Achieving team objectives through cohesive management approach
- Use your Six Sigma expertise to lead defect elimination activities
- Lead Root Cause Analysis activities as Facilitator
- Maintain a cohesive relationship with production and planning depts
- Using your RAM RCM skills to lead continuous improvement activities
Leading process improvement, designing and implementing technical solutions and improvements, reporting on reliability plans and initiatives are all activities into which your input is needed. A team of five Maintenance Planners and a Reliability Engineer on site will look to you for technical support, so the commitment and willingness to support and mentor them is essential.
