Role and Responsibilities:

·         Support the pharmacist in the provision of services in order to deliver the pharmacy contract and meet and exceed the branch profit targets.

·         Ensure prescriptions are received, checked and dispensed in a timely manner to ensure patients receive an efficient and accurate service.

·         Manage day to day running of dispensary by allocating work to Dispensing Technician and Dispensing Assistant to ensure efficient and safe running of the dispensary.

·         To read and comply with all communications from Head Office, PCTs and others to ensure necessary actions are undertaken for the branch and customers.

·         To be proactive in seeking new business opportunities to maintain and grow profitability of the branch.

·         Provide advice and guidance to branch colleagues to ensure skills and experience are shared and used to the benefit of the branch and individuals.

 

Key Experience Knowledge and Skills:

·         Experienced in the role of ACT and gained the Accuracy Checking Technician qualification.

·         Registration with the RPSGB.

·         Ability to effectively plan own time and demonstrate strong organisational skills even when under pressure.

·         Attention to detail.

·         Strong customer service skills including an ability to adapt personal style to meet the needs of differing customers.

·         Excellent communication skills.
