Job Description:

General Skills Needed:
1) Vendor Employees must possess technical working knowledge of Client PowerHA System Mirror (formerly HACMP), Adapter-based OEM SAN Storage equipment/software products. Technical working knowledge is defined as in-depth understanding of the operation and function of the equipment/products/processes and procedures and the ability to identify and provide resolution. Examples of the equipment type(s)/method(s) or processes are:
-The Vendor Employee will support PowerHA System Mirror (formerly HACMP) software running on AIX operating system.
The Vendor Employee will support adaper-based DASD which includes SSA, SCSI and SAS adapters and disks in a single node and shared between multiple nodes environment.
-The Vendor Employee should be familiar with configuring the above dasd in RAID and non RAID configuration, configuration of volume group, logical volume and filesystem in a shared and non-shared environment.
-The Vendor Employee will support the inter-connection from AIX to any Fiber channel storage that adheres to open standards.
-The Vendor Employee will support the AIX multipath I/O driver, MPIO, connecting to the above OEM storage.
-The Vendor Employee will be configuring/troubleshooting all aspects of the PowerHA System Mirror software.
-The Vendor Employee will also be configuring/troubleshooting the above DASD and analyzing DASD error reports.
-The Vendor Employee will need TCP/IP networking skill to understand HACMP network requirements.
-Knowledge of PowerHA System Mirror Enterprise Edition (formerly HACMP-XD) using either PPRC, Metro-Mirror, SRDF, or GLVM a plus.
-Shell scripting/programming in an AIX/UNIX environment is a plus.
-Knowledgeable of EMC powerpath and SRDF, Hitachi HDLM, and HP Secure Path is a plus.
-The Vendor Employee should be familiar with configuring the above OEM SAN storage into the AIX operating system.
-The Vendor Employee should be able to install/configure/trouble shoot all the above OEM SAN products including the required vendor-supplied filesets.
-The Vendor Employee will be responsible for analyzing errors for all the above devices.
-The Vendor Employee will need to understand how all the above devices are configured into a HACMP cluster environment

2) The Vendor Employee should possess strong communication and verbal soft skills which facilitates a positive interaction with the customer. Communications skills should incorporate the following:
-Confidence Professionalism
-Dealing with Customer Conflict and Confrontation
-Executing Dynamic Interpersonal Communications with customers, client management and coworkers.
-Ability to communicate technical information to customers in a way that is easily understood

3) The Vendor Employee should have the HACMP and SAN/DASD technical field background and/or experience which can provide hardware/software problem solving skills, and should be capable of discussing technical situations and scenarios with the end-user, customers, and Client management.

4) The Vendor Employees experience should include the minimum experience/education requirement(s) specified by the Procurement Skill Level requested in the BOND/CSA request.
