At Knowledge Universe, the HR Business Partner position serves as a consultative business partner and change agent to managers in driving employee productivity and engagement and improving organizational effectiveness in alignment with the organization’s business objectives. They are responsible for the development, coordination, support and implementation of targeted HR initiatives within KinderCare and delivering HR solutions to improve the organizational effectiveness of individual business units. As a consultative business partner, they provide day-to-day human resources support to management, as well as serve as a primary HR interface and integrator of other Human Resources initiatives and functions (such as Organization Development, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations and Recruiting).
- Coordinates and executes Partner Development (HR) support activity to assigned Renaissance centers Leads the intake process with Field Operators, Renaissance Team members and other Partner Development (Human Resources) representatives from each discipline.
- Participates in the Center Assessment Process which may include on-site Center visit(s) to assist Field leaders in assessing current talent issues.
- Manages the creation and execution of a Partner Development Action Plan as determined through the assessment process and agreed on by the Field leaders.
- Leverages Partner Development resources to ensure delivery of timely, effective and efficient HR solutions. Ensures the appropriate resources are engaged at the right time.
- Works and communicates effectively across the Partner Development functional areas and the client organization.
- Supports the change management process by conducting progress check-ins and recommending changes or additions to the original Action Plan.
- Utilizes current organizational best practices and, when appropriate, develop next-generation solutions that are consistent with the direction of Partner Development and can be used enterprise-wide.
- Works with other functional departments, such as School Services, Marketing and Facilities, to integrate work streams and leverage the impact and timing of other Action Plan elements.
- 5 years of Human Resources experience
- Experience working in an HR function with a strategic business partner model preferred.
- Operations experience preferred but not required
- Project Management skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, advanced degree preferred
- Excellent customer focus
- Business acumen with knowledge of the business, understanding of market trends, competition, company policies/procedures culture
- Broad Human Resources expertise including organizational behavior, change management, business planning, policy implementation, employee relations and communication
- Ability to build partnerships with leaders at all levels
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain excellent peer relationships
- Some supervisory experience preferred
