REPAIR OPERATIONS MANAGER

SOLIHULL

A fast-growing and ambitious business, MMX Communications Services Limited delivers fully integrated, high-end repair, logistics and support service solutions for blue chip organizations predominantly within the telecommunications, utilities and offshore sectors.

Reporting to the Company Directors, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the senior management team.  Responsibilities include:


·        
Management of our Repair and Technical Development Teams

·         To execute the delivery of test and repair services in line        
with customer contracts

·         Supporting the Sales team with bids

·         Plan resources to ensure that our operation fully supports our contracted customer base, optimizing utilisation

·         The development of budget plans and contribution to the preparation of tenders

·         To fully project manage the execution of new customer contracts

·         Management of the repair division financial performance

·         The setting of and achieving of forecasted output targets

·         Embracing ISO standards and ensuring that these are achieved and maintained within the department.


The appointed candidate will have a broad range of experience within the telecommunications industry including experience of working within high capacity transmission networks in the fixed, mobile and broadband telecommunications sectors with experience of the following technologies; Transmission, Access, Switching, IP, CATV, Mobile Backhaul, Datacoms, Power, Telemetry, Control and Monitoring, WAN, and CPE.


You will be a self-starter with the ability to demonstrate an innovative approach to getting results through leading others; have the ability to think strategically with strong skills and experience in organisational development.  M
anaging a multi-skilled, highly specialized Repair Centre and the ability to lead technical teams is essential along with experience of working within a highly processes driven Company.


The individual will also be required to demonstrated commercial and business acumen, be a strong business leader, with a proven track record in “hands on” management and development of  a similar business unit. 


In view of the customer-facing nature of this position, candidates must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and have the desire and ability to foster strong working relationships with our customers along with the technical credential to work with technically-led customers on a daily basis.
