No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Report Analyst/Developer providing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to Production Systems Reports and Metrics Team on the 787 Program. Must have ability to provide guidance and expertise to develop, document, implement and maintain BI reporting solutions. Assist projects in the use of vendor tools to develop solutions to accomplish data analysis, data movement and BI in a distributed environment. Use architecturally approved tools (COGNOS) to satisfy user BI reporting requirements including the building of reports, cubes, and queries, and reports. Competencies Successful candidates must have proven full project lifecycle experience, preferably supporting DW/BI projects. Prefer experience building BI solutions in a distributed, client-server environment using vendor tools (Cognos, Brio, Business Objects, etc.). Must be a great team player and enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be comfortable working on multiple assignments concurrently. Strong writing and verbal communication skills are required attributes Experience creating and/or using data models a plus. Experience using BI vendor tools, especially the Cognos suite, is highly preferred and knowledge of Velocity factory system is highly desirable. Must be have proven experience using SQL and Oracle. Education Prefer a bachelors or masters degree in computer science. Typically persons in this position would possess 4 years of applicable experience. Typical Education/Experience Level 3 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Level 4 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
