About the Job
The Porterville Recorder, a recognized Freedom Communications newspaper, is seeking a fulltime general assignment reporter to provide daily content for the print and web editions, including news and feature stories, and breaking news. We will hire a journalist with one to two years of experience, who is accurate and fast, and possesses strong writing and critical-thinking skills. Proficiency in AP style and grammar expected, as is the ability to take photos and video. The Porterville Recorder serves print and online readers in the San Joaquin Valley in California. Porterville is a growing community of 53,000, located just 45 minutes north of Bakersfield, CA. and 30 miles south of Visalia, CA.
