Reporting and Valuations Accountant recruitment
This role provides consolidated financial information to the Board and Leadership Team and ensures that the Group’s portfolio is valued and presented appropriately to the Valuations Committee.
Main responsibilities of the role
- Ensuring that the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation guidelines are consistently applied.
- Working closely with different business lines through out the valuations process.
- Ensuring that monthly valuations have been entered correctly.
- Supporting the Valuations Manager with ad hoc valuation queries.
- Preparing quarterly statutory accounts on Investments.
- Preparing board papers for the quarterly board meeting.
- Preparing FSA returns (solo/consolidated) in accordance with specified deadlines.
- Assisting with the preparation on the Group ICAAP report.
- Ensuring continual development and improvement of Finance’s reporting processes.
- Picking up ad hoc queries and projects within the Group finance function.
Essential Experience
• ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified with Degree level education (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to prepare statutory accounts under IFRS
• Experience gained in an accounting role in a Private Equity firm
• Strong analytical skills and control focus
• Understanding of regulatory capital reporting for an investment manager
• Previous experience of the valuation of unquoted companies in a Private Equity firm and knowledge of IPEV guidelines
