Reporting Metrics Business Analyst
The Institutional Income (II) group within Prudential Retirement is focused on products that provide retirement security for Defined Conctribution (DC) plan participants. This is a new growth market as plan sponsors increasingly recognize the need for DC plans to provide not just a venue for asset accumulation, but ultimately income replacement during retirement. The volatile stock market has only reinforced the value of guarantees in providing peace of mind to employees in or near retirement. II business objectives are clearly aligned with the broader Prudential Retirement strategy of leading the transformation of U.S. retirement. The position will be part of the Business Strategy, Planning and Metrics team within II reporting to the Director of the unit. While the primary focus is on financial reporting and metrics the incumbent will also support broader strategic business planning and execution. Primary job responsibilities include: Produce monthly metric reports for various audiences on the II business. Communicate monthly and quarterly financial results to the II Senior team, including identification of emerging trends, risks and successes. Support Sales, Marketing, Actuarial and Key Account teams with financial and other metric analysis. Maintain and update Access databases containing information on IFX clients, participants, and transactions using information from multiple data sources Support annual planning process and quarterly financial forecast for II COE and Business Team. Collaborate with Finance to produce and communicate results Maintain and update financial forecast models for II Business Work with business partners to develop and track strategic initiatives; partner with PRT to understand II technology spending Assist in strategic financial analysis. Examples include but are not limited to: pricing margins, fixed / variable expense growth, accounting and financial change impacts, distribution strategies, earnings emergence under various scenarios, etc. Support business strategic planning, analysis, metrics and execution 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry required, retirement industry experience preferred BS in business, finance, accounting oriented major or equivalent work experience 1-2 years of experience with financial forecasting, metrics and modeling Strong MS Excel / Access skills Intermediate PowerPoint skills Proficiency in VBA a plus Good communication skills Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills Highly motivated, action-oriented individual who can work independently Ability to think both tactically and strategically Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables Experience in maintaining a controlled environment and protecting sensitive information Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 10%
