Reporting Metrics Regulatory Credit Risk Manager

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Reporting Metrics Regulatory Credit Risk Manager to join our client, a major financial services company based in London

Key responsibilities of the Reporting Metrics Regulatory Credit Risk Manager job will include:
-Reporting of credit risk management information and regulatory capital information across the entire Group.
-Providing a high standard of independent assurance to the Group Chief Credit Officer in relation to Basel 2 3 Credit Risk Weighted Assets and associated disclosures.
-Providing high quality guidance and support to all stakeholders of the Basel Credit Risk Weighted Assets process
-Reporting of credit portfolio analytics in support of regulatory credit RWA and capital decision-making by Group Senior executive stakeholders.
-To independently lead the regulatory RWA review challenge process for a significant portion of wholesale portfolio's and provide value-added analysis and insight that enable issues to be highlighted in a timely manner for immediate resolution or escalation.
-The application of intellectual rigour to resolve complex issues and deliver insightful solutions.
-To take the lead in the conceptualization and modelling of portfolio credit risk distribution profiles that will enhance the assessment of the Group's aggregate risk profile, including capital adequacy measurements and model decision-making.
-To provide a high standard of independent assurance to the Group Chief Credit Officer in relation to Basel Credit Risk Weighted Assets and associated disclosures.
-Responsible for the conceptualization, development and implementation of analytical solutions that will lead to the enhancement of reporting, portfolio analyses, and decision-making with respect to our wholesale and retail portfolios.
-To be a key point of contact for guidance around regulatory treatment and interpretation of BIPRU requirements to any projects or BAU reporting teams.
-To be a key resource for the translation of emerging regulations into analytical scenarios that enhances understanding of the distribution of portfolio from a credit risk perspective.

The ideal Reporting Metrics Regulatory Credit Risk Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:
-
-Strong verbal communication ability, good presentation skill and the ability to deliver confident and clear guidance and support on highly complex technical issues.
-Credit Skills/MI Reporting Skills; Good understanding of credit risk metrics such as PD, LGD, Maturity and RWA.
-Knowledge of credit risk principles and credit risk management and mitigation.
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and interact with several levels of management.
-Prior experience in a Business Analyst role either on a large team or on various small projects,

Knowledge of Structure and Reporting Systems.
-Appropriate academic qualifications or equivalent experience in applying quantitative/ statistical concepts to portfolio analyses.
-Intermediate knowledge of statistical concepts/linear programming e.g. parametric modelling, Multi-variable regression, parameter estimation, probability density/probability distribution functions, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th moments describing probability distributions, and simple measures of model validation.
