JOB SUMMARY: Processes orders for specialty gas and industrial, and medical as well as welding and safety equipment, power and handle tools and other products/supplies requested by telephone from call-in customers or associates.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or the equivalent (GED) and two years related product and/or sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient with entering data into a computer.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write report, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other associates, managers, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram or schedule form.
