GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a senior enterprise network instructor you will help others have great learning experiences. You  will participate in creating innovative new and improved approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment. A Senior Enterprise Network Instructor is responsible for delivery of training at our local training facility in Santa Clara and at US customer sites when required. You’ll create customized training materials to meet customers’ learning needs. You’ll also be delivering certification track courses for Huawei Certified Datacom Associate through Expert level certifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver customer training courses for Enterprise IP Networking technologies and products (core / access routers, LAN switches, firewalls and storage).
• Enhance existing training material and develop new and customized courses for networking products tailored to customer needs and the needs of the business.
• Expert level experience with local area network switches, routers and wireless access network equipment.
• Supervise students with hands-on lab exercises for Huawei network solutions.
• Be familiar with E-Learning development tools. Ability to convert ILT courses to E-Learning courses.
• Drive internal competence development program working with various technical organizations.
• Teach and conduct Train the Trainer courses and/or curriculum for Huawei Authorized Learning Partners.
• Conduct both pre-and post- training analysis to determine stated objective and desired impact was achieved

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Certifications/Licensures:
Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:  BA Master’s degree

Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum:  5 years experience in technical training
Preferred: 
• 10 years experience in technical training
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with education and consulting business
• Working knowledge of data center, and enterprise infrastructure products and technologies
• Working knowledge of technical training and curriculum development
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Excellent customer management and training delivery skills.

Skills (Technical or General):

Minimum: 
• A demonstrated high level of technical ability in one or more of the following: core / access routers, LAN switches, firewalls and storage
• Proficiency using standard Office and instructional design tools; PowerPoint, Word, Excel 
Preferred: 
• Learning development tools such as Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.
• Industry certifications e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift/carry materials, move about the office, turn on and operate a computer in the applicable environment, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.  Travel may be required.
