GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing field operations for Technical Service Division (TSD) including execution of contractual requirements by overseeing and managing the Logistics, responsible for managing inventory, lead time, third party suppliers and costs. To coordinate with Headquarters and Regional offices and customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:

 Responsible for management of logistics in North America.
 Supplier Management – Responsible for the execution of daily logistics/freight.
 Local Planning Management – Provide feedback to headquarters regarding local business changes and install base updates.
 Logistics Management – Ensure optimum logistics performance in the region, through effective management of delivery times, call center responsiveness, expense control, etc.
 Perform part expense analysis.
 Customer Contact – Provide sales support, process customer queries and maintain relationship with customers to ensure that their needs are met.
 Demonstrate leadership through effective implementation of policy and procedure changes, cost controls, communication with field service organizations to understand changes in the local business environment and communicating those changes back to the corporate office.
 Liaise with both the corporate office and regional service organizations.
 Manage a third party logistics provider and indirect employees effectively Providing purchasing function for local and overseas production facilities Perform various duties and functions associated with enabling the successful execution of TSD’s mission.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
:


Education and/or Certifications/Licensures
:

Minimum: Bachelor degree in administration of customer contract, international trade, business administration or related commerce discipline; or equivalent

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Engineering

Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum: 5 years telecom experience with logistics and warehouse or related fields

Preferred: 10 years related technical and business experience.  Working experience with world leading telecom manufacturer or in telecom industry is an advantage.

Skills (Technical or General):

Minimum:  Good supervision of contract implementation;  Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with a wide variety of people (product management, engineering, marketing).  Willing to take challenges.  Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and fluency in English. Intermediate Microsoft Office applications knowledge; advanced business analysis and vendor management skills; advanced knowledge of company products and sales and marketing strategies.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
:

Must be able to lift/carry materials, move about the office, turn on and operate a computer in the applicable environment, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.  Extensive travel (50% - 75%) required.

Standard indoor office environment.
