The Corporate Actions Analyst will work closely with the quantitative team and will be responsible for sourcing, researching and analysing global corporate actions events (historic/future events) on behalf of hedge fund clients to help the fund managers to make informed investment decisions. This role will also analyse and predict future corporate action events that clients may trade in the future requiring an inquisitive and analytical mind-set.

The successful candidate will be focused on researching and monitoring the global corporate actions market. This is NOT a corporate actions processing role however candidates may come from a corporate actions processing background and will demonstrate the aptitude and qualifications to take the step up within a highly analytical role researching/analysing global corporate action events with the ability to communicate and predict future events and market developments for hedge fund clients. Prior experience and proven analytical ability to identify/analyse events affecting stocks held as well as monitoring stock that clients may wish to invest in is required.

The role is varied working with large data sets and will include, but not limited to Equity research on global stocks that clients may wish to trade in and provide prediction analysis, monitoring of corporate actions on traded stocks, investigating daily and historical company market movements providing outcome analysis, supporting the team of quantitative analysts on market developments, liaising delivering on various projects on behalf of clients, working closely with overseas executionary traders for example.

Candidates will be have a 2.1 (or above) degree within a financial/analytical discipline and will be looking to transfer their corporate actions processing experience or may be currently working within Research Analysis. A detailed understanding of corporate action events and their impact within the market for future trading is essential.

In addition, Corporate Actions candidates will either come from a financial services background (hedge fund, asset management, investment banking, data provider).
