Job Description
A new position has become available within our client's Beijing Research area (also including Cross Region).
Very basically split into two parts - quantitative analytical research of data followed by all associated Editorial publishing.
The role requires someone who, working to very strict deadlines, can create original research reports and assist Sectors and Functions in topic generation and execution of research projects.
There is the chance to produce publishable industry and management issue reports (including external avenues such as the Asian Wall Street Journal), press releases and be a part of Blue Chip thought leadership.
The Successful Applicant
Our client has emphasized the importance of the successful candidate's personality, language skills (native level English), report writing ( editorial) and analytical ability. On these points, the firm will only interview the very strongest candidates.
Since attaining superlative academic qualifications - both by institution reputation and academic rigor, you will have approximately 6 years experience of strategic level, business research publication. Ideally this will have been from a prestigious FI such as a Bulge Bracket bank, Top Tier or strategic Consulting firm or even a Big 4 firm.
Despite this initially being a sole contributor role, we are also keen to hear from candidates who have accumulated circa 2 years of managing a team as well as taking sole responsibility for developing your own research projects.
Candidates ought to be able to demonstrate very solid attention to detail as well as clear and structured thinking. However, this role is not suited to introverted people - you must be able to coordinate with Marketing and communication in publication and distribution and achieving PR objectives of the firm. Not least to help with developing business opportunities.
Those people who are proactive, confident, but also diplomatic will fit well into the culture of this firm. This will also allow you to draw out insights through interviewing (as well as liaise closely with people at senior levels within an organization).
