Research Analyst – Associate level recruitment
Citi Capital Advisors (CCA) is an alternative asset management platform, with over $15 billion in assets under management, which offers a broad range of innovative strategies and products to select institutional and ultra-high-net-worth investors.
CCA's Event Driven Fund seeks to take advantage of mispricings that result from announced and anticipated major corporate events such as MA, spin-offs, capital raises, litigation, restructurings, etc. The existing team has deep experience in the evaluation of firms undergoing such transformations, and they apply this expertise to exploit market inefficiencies.
The Event Driven Fund is seeking a highly motivated Research Analyst to assist their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the team's investment decisions - conducting research on industries/companies
- Supporting senior portfolio managers in analyzing investment opportunities - participating in due diligence, creating financial models, reviewing financial, company and industry information, etc.
Skills
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, hedge funds or private equity is required
- Degree in business or related field
- Excellent analytical, financial and accounting skills (including mastery of financial modeling)
- Commitment to the job, sense of urgency and strong work ethic
- Maturity to independently manage time and deadlines
- Ability to approach potential investment opportunities creatively (i.e. ability to think "outside the box")
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Initiative and ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Intellectually curious
