Research Analyst – Brazilian-Portuguese Speaker recruitment
General Summary
Update and enhance Ipreo information on buy-side and sell-side institutional investors and industry research firms. Market research coverage includes, but is not limited to equity, fixed income, and hedge funds. Information at the firm and staff levels includes investment styles, funds managed, portfolio characteristics and contact information. Information is gathered primarily through telephone and email communication with the staff profiled and supplemented by internet research, regulatory filings and industry publications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact directly with staff at global capital markets firms to maintain and expand staff and firm level intelligence; analyze and interpret market research, as well as add new content as necessary.
- Enter all new or changed information into the database according to guidelines. Make corrections and edits as necessary. Maintain thorough documentation of communication with data subjects.
- Research institutions not currently profiled to determine if the firm qualifies for inclusion in product. If the firm qualifies, continue research to collect all pieces of information necessary to create a new profile.
- Research and respond to client requests for information.
- Review assigned financial publications for relevant industry information and disseminate articles to appropriate researchers.
- Complete regularly assigned updates, changes, and deletions to specific pieces of information to maintain data quality. Includes weekly email bounce backs and mutual fund changes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

- Excellent communication skills, especially over the telephone
- Excellent written and oral skills in English and Brazilian-Portugese are strongly preferred

- Superior internet research skills
Technical Skills Required
Ability to use Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software applications.
Education
Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years of equivalent and relevant work experience. (Degrees in Economics, Business, and Finance preferred but not required)
