Research Analyst – Brook Asset Management – New Zealand recruitment

A new opportunity exists for an experienced Research Analyst to join the team. Reporting into the Chief Investment Officer this is a role that would suit someone looking to make their mark in a collaborative and progressive organisation and be part of a passionate, intelligent team.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining fundamental valuation models and database notes of Australian and NZ companies. Initially, the assigned sectors will be financial and resources. Company and sector allocations may change over time
- Presenting research at the weekly stock meeting
- Conduct company visits and maintain and present meeting notes
- Actively contributing to ad-hoc discussions about portfolio positions
- Presenting the research process to clients and prospects
- Presenting the research process to asset consultants and research houses
Ideally candidates will:
- Possess tertiary qualifications (Finance, Economics)
- Be a qualified CFA or studying towards (preferable)
- Have prior experience in a research position within funds management/equity markets
- Strong analytical skills
- Possess top persuasion and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Be tenacious
- Have a team orientated approach
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning
