SUMMARY

Altegris is in a very exciting growth phase and is searching for a talented and motivated Research Analyst to be an integral member of the Research Team. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Risk/Quantitative Analyst role will be broad in nature and will have a wide range of responsibilities, including calculating portfolio risk and return analytics, portfolio construction and asset-allocation analytics, and other quantitative management support including:

• Assist with various aspects of the investment and operational due diligence process in both managed futures and hedge funds

• Control data management, including performance updates and investment manager files and collateral

• Conduct statistical and qualitative analyses on investment manager performance and investment strategies

• Assist in creating reports for potential investment candidates and existing investment managers on the platform

• Participate in manager interviews by taking notes and providing documentation of the call content

• Prepare investment committee and client reporting materials

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-4 years of prior experience, ideally in the hedge fund, managed futures, finance, investment management, asset management, or consulting industry

• Strong GPA and bachelor's degree from a quality institution (Economics, Finance or Statistical/Mathematical major a plus)

• Demonstrated mix of quantitative and qualitative skills

• Good working understanding of macroeconomics and markets

• A passion for investments, particularly alternative investments

• A strong work ethic and ownership mentality, with a "can do" approach to work

• Detail orientation and strong ability to work with numbers

• Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and accurately in a fast-paced culture

• A strong proclivity for finding creative solutions to complex problems

• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a preference for experience working with Bloomberg, PerTrac and other related software
