PRIMARY PURPOSE

This position is accountable for the collection, management, and analysis of Simon’s purchased and proprietary databases – both spatial and non-spatial data.  In this role, the Analyst would create sales reports, demographic reports, maps, and memos used by and presented to field and corporate personnel.

3. Fact Sheet Books

 

4. Sales Tiering Reports

 

5. Map Creation

 

7. Ad hoc projects

 

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

 

q  Subordinate staff - None

 

q  Other internal contacts – CEO, President, Development, Leasing

 

q  External contacts – External Partners, ICSC, Directory of Major Malls

q  Primary challenges – Assembling and understand information from a variety of internal and external sources. Drawing conclusions and making recommendations from research data, completing projects on schedule and responding effectively to unexpected problems and special requests for data.

 


QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

 

1.      Bachelor’s degree – preferably geography or business.

 

2.      2 – 5 years of experience preferred.

 

3.      Strong analytical and project management skills.

 

4.      Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

 

5.      Solid computer skills required.  Ability to manage sets of data.

 

6.      Strong Excel abilities.  Access, Word and PowerPoint also used.

 

7.      GIS knowledge – preferably MapInfo

 

8.      Strong geographic understanding

 

9.      Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources

 

10.  Excellent oral and written communication skills
