The Role
Their presence in Australia continues to grow and so does their requirement for star performers. There currently exists an opportunity for a driven self-starter to join the groups as an analyst.
Reporting to a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Updating and managing cash forecasts for multiple portfolios
- Analysis and response coordination for Corporate Action events
- Company analysis and classification
- Communicating with Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts in the Sydney office and the firm's offices around the world
- Assist with portfolio reporting, including returns, market value calculations, and characteristics
- Undertake one-off projects including portfolio characteristics analysis, index rebalance analysis, and ad hoc data requests
The Candidate
You will be degree qualified in finance, economics, engineering or a related field and have achieved a distinction average or better. You will have maximum 18 months work experience in any field and now be looking for a long term career opportunity. You will have a quantitative mind-set and will have dealt with SQL, VBA or Matlab in some capacity in the past.
