Research and Administrative Assistant to Chief Investment Officer (CIO) recruitment
In Asia, we have been present since 1987 with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo and manage $8bn of assets with 75 professionals.
The Chief Investment Officer is responsible for the investment teams in our three Asian offices – Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo and leads the effort for the management of client assets in the region. A Research and Administrative Assistant is required to support the CIO in his daily work to manage the administrative, investment research, client related and management related workload.
The person will be responsible for-
- Preparing power-point presentations to summarize existing research and views from various team members on economic and market related items.
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets which will be used by the CIO in analysis and asset allocation
- Preparing research reading material for the CIO
- Coordinating all meetings for the CIO with internal and external parties
- Following up with various parties, internal and external, on agreed tasks from previous meetings, and ensuring delivery of these on time.
- Liaising with private client relationship managers, to ensure that any requirements they have from the investment platform are being fulfilled.
- Managing all administrative matters for the CIO, such as travel arrangements, expense submissions, scheduling of activities and team meetings.
The position requires that the right candidate have a mix of administrative and research skills, and is able to manage the administrative jobs as a traditional Executive Assistant, but have the desire, knowledge and capacity to participate in investment research related activities.
Critical skills required for this position are-
- Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with the ability to create professional caliber presentations and spreadsheets.
- A high degree of fluency in written and spoken English, to the extent that there can be no grammatical errors in any document produced.
- An extreme attention to detail, with the ability to create documents and spreadsheets which have a neat and aligned layout.
- Ability to manage all administrative tasks in a professional and efficient manner
- The ability to work under pressure, and be able to manage many tasks at the same time.
- At least 3 years experience as an assistant is required, preferably in a research or trading environment.
- Ability to speak in Cantonese or Mandarin is desirable, but not essential.
