Research Assistant
Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. MSG uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
Working in a team environment, you will assist with the co-ordinating of road shows and presentations, diary and travel management, expense management, arranging conference calls, assisting analysts with the collation of data and attending to general client requests You will have access to Macquarie templates and systems for the utilisation and production of Research Notes and PowerPoint presentations.
This is a part time role for 3 days per week.
You will:
- hold appropriate qualifications
- demonstrate appropriate work experience in an administrative, secretarial or support capacity gained from within financial services
- ideally bring experience in a similar capacity within an Equity Research environment although not essential
- be computer literate in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- enjoy working in a fast based, business environment,
- demonstrate initiative, taking ownership of your work as well as a displaying a willing and 'hands on' work approach
- possess a confident manner and strong verbal and written communicating skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Formatting reports and other documents in Word and Excel to suit the Macquarie Research style - including managing the compliance, approval and distribution process
- Formatting Charts/Tables, this involves collecting data and creating charts using Macquarie format guidelines and then importing charts to and from different applications
- Updating excel spreadsheets within different applications
- Creating Powerpoint presentations
- Maintaining client data and distribution lists for analysts
- Diary management for the team; including arranging meetings both internally and externally.
- Organising client functions and events
- Organising small conferences
- Facilitating catering for internal/external functions
- Working with the Roadshow and Connections team.
- Answering telephones for the team as appropriate
- Organising complex travel arrangements for analysts and clients
- Administrating invoices and expenses as appropriate
- Adhoc filing as appropriate
- Any other duties reasonably requested by the Analyst Group
