Research Assistant — Hong Kong Equity Research recruitment
We are seeking a talented and driven Research Assistant to work within our Equity Research team in Hong Kong. Working directly with the Lead Gaming Analyst, you will have the key responsibility of performing both qualitative and quantitative analysis, develop financial models, analyse company performance, and compile research reports and articles.
The successful candidate will have strong numerical skills and a financial background, including relevant academic credentials. Experience within a relevant industry will be viewed favorably but is not essential. You will also pride yourself on your strong work ethic and dedication to achieving superior results. Highly developed analytical and modelling skills as well as strong interpersonal capabilities will be instrumental in your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assistance in production of both daily and ad hoc reports.
- Valuation, modeling and financial analysis.
- Assistance in maintenance of financial models.
- Information search / gathering of information from various sources.
- Using strong numerical skills to chart and represent data in the most appropriate way.
- Writing research notes, reports and presentations.
- Liaising with and responding to client requests for information.

- This role would ideally suit a highly motivated individual with two to six years experience in a financial analysis role or a related field.
- Must have strong numeric skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility around working hours.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Competency in using various Microsoft products - particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and CEIC is preferred
- Able to demonstrate original thought and good judgment in sourcing and prioritising information.
- Able to work effectively within his or her own team and interact with other teams in Research and across Equities.
- Mandarin language skills essential. Cantonese language skills desirable.
- CPA, CFA qualifications desirable.
