RESEARCH ASSISTANT I / 40 HOUR / DAY / BWH DIV. OF CARDIOVASCULAR MEDICINE

GENERAL SUMMARY: Located within the Brigham and Women?s Hospital, the Cardiac Imaging Core Lab (CICL) provides quantitative echocardiogram analysis services for primarily large-scale cardiovascular clinical trials. The CICL is an academic-oriented contract research organization serving both the pharmaceutical industry and federal sponsors. Working under the direction of Cardiac Imaging Core Lab (CICL) Director, Clinical Project Manager, and Operations Director, the Research Assistant II is an integral member of the CICL who is responsible for providing research assistance to the project coordinators and technical staff responsible for performing echocardiogram analysis. NOTE: This is strictly an administrative research position; performing echocardiographic analysis or having patient contact is not a function of this position. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Provide digitization, capture of images and appropriate software transfer of study echocardiograms and study data. ? Download and transfer of computer files from FTP sites. ? Maintain and organize computer files and folder systems of technical staff. ? Liaise between technical staff and project management staff for studies received on a daily basis. ? Process and file study related paperwork. ? Create and maintain study binders. ? Provides other echocardiographic technical research support as per the CICL Directors as it relates to the overall research scope of the CICL.
