Research Associate - Molecular Biology
Kelly Scientific Resources is seeking a Research Associate with a strong Molecular Biology background for a cutting edge Genetics company in Irvine, CA. Temp-to-hire 1 st shift Salary: DOE Responsibilities: · Product Development Assist in experimental design, conducting, and data collection for protocols and standards. · Carry out high-level, complex research activities. · Maintain laboratory notebook as an up-to-date detailed log of experiments and ongoing research efforts. · Interfacing with the Director of R D, Principal Investigators, or other Research Associates on the project · Presenting research results in laboratory meetings, seminars, scientific conferences and or related settings. · Perform quality control experiments and measurements on manufactured components to ensure products maintain consistent performance. · Analyze quality control experiment results · Perform technical support duties to resolve customer?s technical questions. · Light manufacturing duties may include assembly of buffers for ZRC kits. Education and Experience: · MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related discipline, · BS with a minimum of three years of laboratory experience · Experience in performing molecular and cell biology techniques including PCR, cloning, restriction digests, gel electrophoresis, DNA and RNA purification etc · Experience using programs such as BLAST and UCSC Genome Browser · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. · Knowledge of Microsoft Office products Interested applicants should apply directly below to the on-line resume builder link.
