Responsibilities
- Conduct research on science, technology, clinical data, individual companies and industry trends, using extensive internet search, scientific and medical publications, and discussions with experts.
- Build and update financial models, and perform market research and forecasting of therapeutic drug candidates
- Prepare written reports, notes, and other documents to communicate investment ideas regarding biotech stocks
- Interact with outside company management teams and institutional clients, as well as internal sales, trading and asset management departments
- Participate in other projects as requested by management
Qualifications
- M.D. or Ph.D. in biology or chemistry strongly preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years related work experience on Wall Street, healthcare consulting or pharma/biotech industry
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint mandatory
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills in Excel required
- Strong writing skills required
- Strong conceptual, critical thinking and analytical skills; strong intellectual curiosity
- Capability of delivering clear, effective verbal and written communication and takes responsibility for understanding others
- Strong work ethics: responsible, accountable, motivated, hard working, driven to excel, team player
- Commits to satisfying internal and external customers
- Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 must be obtained within first 90 days
