The Department

Fidelity Management Research Company (FMRCo), the U.S. headquartered sister company of Fidelity International Limited, has traditionally been a domestically focused organization.  FMRCo acts as the investment advisor to Fidelity’s family of mutual funds. FMRCo has three fund divisions: Equity, High Income and Fixed Income. Securities are managed, researched, bought and sold for the funds by a staff of portfolio managers, analysts and traders.  FMRCo sees globalization as one of the keys to future success.  Our strategy has been to enter new, global locations in a deliberate manner with sensitivity to, and respect for, cultural dynamics in these locations, and will balance timing with client and market needs to bring FMRCo closer to the markets we serve.  Our success will require a deeper level of responsibility and accountability, and will serve to reduce our dependence on, but not commitment to, partnerships in these markets.

Our commitment to this work is demonstrated by our presence in India, Canada, Ireland, London, Hong Kong and Japan.  Global expansion is the next evolution of our growth strategy. With this strategy in mind, FMRCo is strengthening our fixed income research and trading capabilities in London.

Fidelity’s Fixed Income Division is one of the country’s leading fixed income managers with more than $700 billion in fixed-income assets managed by a staff of more than 120 investment professionals.  The Fixed Income Department is headquartered in the United States with associates in London.  Fundamental research and trading on domestic and international debt issuers is combined with macroeconomic and quantitative analysis to form investment decisions with a total return objective. This position is located in London, UK.
