Leading energy company has an opening for a contract Biofuels Research Associate in San Diego, CA ! Do you have great attention to detail want to be part of a great team? If so, we want to hear from YOU! The company located in San Diego, CA is currently undergoing research development of Biofuels. Research Associate Responsibilities: - Responsible for comprehensive analytical support to LCE (ligno cellulosic ethanol) process with emphasis on HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography), GC (gas chromatography), IC (ion chromatography) ICP (inductively coupled plasma) analysis of biomass hydrolysates and fermentation broths, - Responsible for data analysis, reporting and storage. Research Associate Skills Experience: - Bachelor?s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences discipline, with minimum 3 years of industrial experience dedicated in analytical chemistry profession (instead of just occasionally using open access analytical instruments). - Broad background knowledge of analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and Biofuels industry. - Extensive experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, IC and ICP (hands on use as well as instrumentation maintenance troubleshooting). Experience with additional analytical techniques (CE, GC-MS LC-MS) a strong plus. - Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, both independently and within a project team - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Effective multi-task and time management skills - Analytical and critical thinking skills - Good interpersonal and organizational skills Important information: This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch.
