Research Associate

In a little over 3 years, Forma Therapeutics, Inc. has established a reputation as a company on the move. Early success with its DOS library platform led to lucrative collaborations with Cubist, Eisai the ETC in Singapore. After a short 18 months, our 1st program on a tumor metabolism target was licensed to Genentech. We will follow these collaborations with additional alliances in the near future.

Forma continues to gain experience to evolve/industrialize our Discovery Engine. Our CS mapping technology, targeted diversity libraries screening platforms provide the basis for relentless pursuit of drugs that may change the face of cancer treatment. In 2012, our group of ~100 employees in Cambridge, Branford, CT Singapore will tackle 40 exciting oncology targets using both biochemical cellular assays will screen ~30,000,000 wells.

The targets in our pipeline those planned in the upcoming years represent the cutting edge of cancer drug discovery; adding to this year’s efforts, we will further explore the areas of Tumor Metabolism, Epigenetics, Autophagy, Necroptosis, Ubiquitination broadly, Protein/Protein Interactions.

Experience in the area of cancer cancer drug discovery development skills are preferable.

Well-developed communication skills experience working in multidisciplinary drug discovery teams are important.

A “can do” attitude the willingness to help fellow scientists is an important mindset.

Research Associate in Biology (position # 142)

This position requires experience in cancer biology small molecule drug discovery has various levels of autonomy. A BS in Biology or other relevant life science discipline at least 4 years of experience or MS at least 2 years of experience is required.  Hands-on experience with mammalian tissue culture small molecule evaluation in cell-based and biochemical assays is preferred. Experience with automated liquid handling desirable

 

·         Experience in assay development

·         Familiar with automation processes

·         Flexibility required in order to adapt to changing needs of drug discovery projects

·         Knowledgeable of different aspect of drug discovery
