Kelly Services is in need of a Research Associate to join the Entomology group at a top-tier agricultural company, located in the Indianapolis area. **Will not consider BS candidates for this opportunity. ** Highest level of education completed is an Associate?s degree** REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have completed some courses in a Science related field or 1-2 years of laboratory experience within an Entomology department or laboratory environment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: · This individual may be assigned tasks in the laboratory, Insectary or greenhouse based on the needs of the Entomology group at any given time. These tasks may range from the simple (test setup, clipping plant material, thinning plant material to the complex needed, and complete responsibility for the completion of a specific assay or test including formulation, application. · Some common tasks include general lab maintenance, maintaining a hygienic environment in the Insectary, rating assays, sample formulation and application for specific insect bioassays, injecting larva and data entry. · Given the diversity of tasks the individual may be assigned, and the fact that he or she may work with multiple task leaders, he or she must be reliable, independent, have strong interpersonal skills, display initiative, and demonstrate strong teamwork. · Candidate needs to have a comfort level working with insects/bugs.
