Job Summary: The Center for Molecular Imaging at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School is seeking a research assistant experienced in electrical, mechanical, and/or biomedical engineering. Projects include the fabrication of imaging systems for research and clinical trials, maintenance of imaging systems, preparation of documentation, and operation of imaging systems during human clinical trials.

Essential Responsibilities:

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or Engineering Degree in Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical.. Master's degree preferred in Computer Science or Engineering Degree in Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical.
    2. 1-3 years related work experience required.
    3. One year of post bachelor experience is required OR a Master's Degree.
    4. Candidate must be mature, self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in an intense yet collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
    5. Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

    5. Customer Service:Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

    Physical Nature of the Job:
    Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move through out the hospital campus
