Research Development Engineer

As Research Development Engineer, you will oversee our products through their life cycle; from design and testing to implementation. If your people skills are second only to your mechanical aptitude, this is the position for you.
What you will do:
* Work closely with Director of Engineering to design new products and make modifications to existing products
* Build and test prototypes, with focus on quality performance and compliance with prescribed manufacturing standards
* Provide after-sales training and troubleshooting to new and existing customers
* Liaise with sales marketing on customer expectations and custom designs
Must haves:
* Minimum 2 years mechanical design experience
* Minimum 2 years AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience
* C.E.T. or Mechanical Engineering degree
* Exceptional hands-on mechanical background; experience with automated control systems and metal fabrication
* Proven communication and customer relationship skills
* Ability to balance multiple projects and changing priorities
* Ability to travel to North American customer sites
