The Global Research Strategy ("GRS") group's mandate is to oversee Fitch's research production and distribution strategies. Fitch's overall goal is to offer a market-leading research product, achieved by producing the research and analysis that our audience wants, as quickly and efficiently as possible, and delivered in the format/platform they want to receive it.
GRS works closely with analytical, business, and support groups to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to research initiatives across Fitch Ratings and Fitch Solutions.
The group's strategic plan is far-reaching, but provides incremental deliverables to support continual improvement in processes, platforms and culture.
GRS-led projects typically involve the following:
- Thorough analysis (qualitative and quantitative) of an existing framework or process
- Identification of challenges and development of plan/recommendations for change
- Presentation to relevant senior management team for approval
- Execution of plan, often in partnership with other areas of the business
This New York-based role is at the Director-level reporting to the head of GRS (who is based in London). Specific tasks alongside the group objectives outlined above will evolve and develop rapidly, but will include:
- Leading one or more workstreams in the GRS project portfolio
- Coordination of internal and external contributors/stakeholders
- Formation and coordination of internal working groups
- Harmonization of multiple/conflicting opinions into a consensus
- Adhering to project timelines
- Processing large amounts of data and information and generating actionable recommendations
- Presentation of findings and recommendations to management
- Drafting internal communications (all-staff emails, regular newsletters, intranet news items, etc)
- Competitive peer analysis
The successful candidate will have:
- 5-7 years of work experience with financial information/research, strategy, or consulting
- Demonstrable change management skills
- Comfort working with a remote team
- Previous experience in managing projects
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Experience of the use of social and digital media in a business context
