position description

SUMMARY: Design and analysis of structural modifications, repairs and component redesign efforts; analysis method development related to load redistribution during crack growth in damage tolerant structure; test support for materials, component, and full scale tests; aircraft airworthiness certification/recertification support; re-procurement of aircraft structural assembles.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on aircraft structures with at least a 3.2 GPA and 4 years experience in Aircraft structures related analysis, aircraft structural repair analysis, aircraft structural design and aircraft structural testing. Must be familiarity with aircraft structural analysis specialty codes such as StressCheck and AFGROW; aircraft loads development; CAD graphics packages such as ProEngineer useful in aircraft drawing creation, modification, and interpretation; damage tolerance analyses processes; structural fatigue analysis and testing; aircraft structures related fracture mechanics. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
