Research Manager
We are a global primary research firm, focused on providing our clients with the competitive edge to make smarter investment decisions. Our core business is the facilitation of consultations between our clients and industry specialists, but as part of our growth and expansion we have identified an exciting opportunity to develop a new research product which will keep our clients ahead of industry developments and trends.
We are looking to recruit an ambitious individual to help us seize this opportunity and drive the Specialist Research Products division forward.
In this role, you will be based in London but will also be required to work across our other offices in New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong and New Delhi, with responsibility for:
- Identifying, researching and assessing feasibility of tracker topics which may be of interest to our clients;
- Identifying target populations, devising survey questionnaires and overseeing execution of projects;
- Leading analysis and producing research reports;
- Educating the Sales Team on upcoming research products, and ensuring surveys and trackers are being marketed and sold effectively; and
- Gathering feedback from existing and prospective clients.
This is a client-facing role and you will be required to interact with our clients – some of the world’s leading hedge funds, private equity firms and management consultants – so a background in equity research or an understanding of buy side investment mindset would be advantageous.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have experience of using or producing market research for investment decision-making purposes;
- Have a thorough understanding of financial markets, how companies are valued and what factors investors are interested in;
- Have a proven ability to appear credible in front of buy side clients;
- Be knowledgeable on major financial information and news sources; and
- Be driven and focused on delivering value to clients and building out a business practice.
