Research Manager

If you are an experienced research and market analyst with experience in the CPG industry and you possess proven managerial skills this may be the role for you. You will contribute to internationally recognized publications by applying your extensive industry knowledge and critical thinking to both qualitative and quantitative research. Leading a team of industry analysts dedicated to delivering compelling syndicated and custom reports to a wide range of the world’s largest and most creative companies.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee a small team of analysts. Work with internal statisticians, consumer research team and external data providers to develop market data and insightful consumer research.

- Produce compelling syndicated CPG reports that include consumer and market perspective.

- Provide critical thinking, insight and forward looking statements that impact our readers’ business/careers.

- Conduct quality reviews of reports in-progress, to ensure that thinking and data are accurate relevant to our readership.

- Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, research analytics and operations.

- Direct to clients insights around key trends and product activity, delivered in-person, via phone and webinars.

- Be a company spokesperson for reports with media, trade and industry partners.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.

- Minimum five (5) years experience in a research, consulting, management, or journalism role.

- Experience in the CPG sector, preferably food and beverage.

- Ability to produce key analysis and insights, written in a clear, concise way.

- Demonstrated presentation skills for large audiences and individual clients.

- Ability to quality review reports in-progress, ensuring that data is accurate and insights are relevant to the marketplace.

- Expertise working with syndicated consumer research such as Experian Simmons National Consumer Survey and MRI.

- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
