Macquarie Funds Group (MFG) is Macquarie Group's funds management business. MFG is a full-service asset manager, offering a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure and real asset management, securities investment management and structured access to funds, equity-based products and alternative assets. MFG has been managing assets for pension funds, institutions and retail investors since 1980 in Australia and 1929 in the US (through Delaware Investments). MFG has global reach with staff in Australia, Asia, the UK, Europe and the US, including US-based subsidiary Delaware Investments.
MFG is made up of three Divisions, one of which is Macquarie Investment Management (MIM). MIM is the in-house asset management capability that manufactures and distributes open-ended managed funds to the adviser market, predominantly via platforms. The retail funds business promotes a number of funds from asset classes including as fixed income, listed equities (domestic and international) and infrastructure securities. Following a promotion internally, the opportunity for a specialist Research Master Trust Relationship Manager to work with senior management is now available and expressions of interest are invited from experts in this field.
Based in Sydney, reporting to the Head of National Accounts and Researcher Relations, yet working very closely with both Portfolio and Product Managers, you will be responsible for:
- attending annual reviews of our managed funds with our main research houses;
- providing feedback on draft reports as well as seek feedback from product managers,
- meeting bi-annually and additionally when required with consultants and research analysts from our key research houses as well as ensure they are kept up-to-date on changes throughout the year;
- working with our product specialists and business development managers to ensure our funds are across the various advisory and distribution platforms
- delivering on client data and reporting initiatives
- working closely with wider dealer group research specialists to ensure approvals are obtained which will see our products listed and included in modelled portfolios for their clients
You will:
- submit a covering letter and concise resume as one document
- hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in a business discipline
- demonstrate a stable and highly progressive work history to date, ideally gained from with an institutional sales environment in a comparable capacity
- understand the market and its key participants and consider yourself a product specialist
- think commercially yet strategically; be highly-motivated and driven to succeed
- display a highly analytical, systematic, structured work approach and able to meet tight schedules and reporting requirements
- possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage as well as work closely with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
