Job Summary:

Howard Hughes Medical Institutes Janelia Farm Research Campus (Janelia) is a world-class biomedical research campus in Ashburn, VA. Currently, Janelia has an opening for a part-time Research Technician at Janelia Farm working with the Fly Light team. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team at a uniquely supportive medical research facility.

The Fly Light Research Technician will perform a variety of functions under the direction of the Project Scientist. The successful candidate will make consistent high-quality data for brain mapping by dissecting, staining, mounting, and imaging Drosophila nervous systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in life science or equivalent laboratory experience.

Additional qualifications include the ability to communicate information and ideas effectively in English; both orally and in writing, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
