Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Working alongside analysts, the Research Writer will draft and edit research reports on individual issuers and corporate sectors based on:

- internal and publicly available data;
- interaction and discussion with analysts and attendance at rating committees and portfolio reviews;
- liaising with analytical support staff to compile financial data using annual reports;
- seeking appropriate feedback and sign-off from analysts and TMDs.

To write credit research reports in English and improve the overall quality of research on corporate issuers and sectors across Asia-Pacific.

Qualifications
- A relevant university degree, such as economics, business or finance
- Candidates from academia with relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience
- Substantial experience in financial journalism, reporting and editing within a reputable news or research organisation
- Candidates must have a strong understanding of capital markets, and the corporate debt markets in particular.

Key Skills

Technical
- Well developed IT skills including Email, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong writing skills. Strong headline-writing and copy-editing skills are essential.

- Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels

- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised and efficient
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Work using own initiative and without close supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills
