THE ROLE
Huxley Associates are currently working alongside a highly successful client, producing integrated, automated trading platforms for use in real-time algorithmic trading around the globe. This award winning, quant driven fund have recently opened a new division focused on high-frequency trading, and are therefore looking to employ two exceptional individuals with an extremely strong background in mathematics and algorithm design.
The group is very applied, and involves analysts seeking patterns in large, dirty and noisy data sets, in addition to using statistical techniques such as: time series analysis, probability theory and regression analysis. Since programming is an important part of the role, knowledge of numerical programming in an object-oriented language, as well as experience working within large datasets, would be valuable.
REQUIREMENTS
As aforementioned, the company are looking for an individual with an extremely strong background in mathematics. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have a post-graduate degree in a highly quantitative subject such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics or engineering from a top-tier institution.
It is essential that the individual is able to display a practical, hands on ability to apply mathematical concepts to real world financial problems, implement theoretical insights as working code, and work independently in a research driven environment. Although previous experience within the finance industry is not required, the company see an interest in finance, alongside the motivation to learn rapidly, as a prerequisite for employment.
Ultimately, you will be working alongside world class quantitative analysts and be exposed to cutting edge technology that is shaping the future of trading platforms globally.
