Luxury Cruise Line based in Los Angeles seeking full time Reservation Sales Agents to start training December 5, 2011. Travel industry background desired. Must have strong customer service and computer skills, some college coursework completed and be willing to work flexible schedules inluding Saturdays. Base salary plus incentives. Position will assist customers in the process of booking a future cruise vacation.
-Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills will be used to assist guests with all details of the booking process including answering questions regarding ports, onboard experience, immigration, air services, land programs, insurance, and accounting.
-Make new reservations or assist with existing reservations and handle any special requests, changes or additional arrangements required.
-Verbal communication skills and sales orientation will be put to work to secure bookings.
-Reservations Sales agent work on the phone and process reservations which require accurate data entry.
-Financial data is discussed and recapped -- correct data entry, accuracy and excellent communication skills are required.
-Reservations agents manage a large quantity of information and are proficient in Outlook and WIKI look-up and can navigate the internet and and in-house Reservations systems.
-Required to perform all other duties relative to supporting the department.
Additional courses in travel industry practices and procedures relevant. A minimum of 6 months experience in a travel related industry ideal. Professional attitude. Computer skills and proven communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work in a structured environment. Dependable and positive background check.
