Reservoir Engineer – African Assets

A Petroleum/ Reservoir Engineer are required to join Africa’s largest bank by assets. The successful candidate will manage technical risk across the global oil and gas portfolio through timely application of specialist expertise, as well as being heavily involved in the following:

Business Development providing technical support to the coverage and product teams in developing new business opportunities

Redetermination and Monitoring Analyse available data and where relevant question assumptions to support the timely monitoring of the portfolio and in particular RBL redeterminations

Technical Advice support senior management and credit wherever necessary with opinions and analysis on any aspect of current or potential oil and gas opportunities

Team Work Act as part of the team and be fully supportive to other members within the team taking the lead on all technical matters

Candidates will require a First degree in relevant science or engineering discipline (E) MSc in Petroleum Engineering Experience required to successfully perform the role: Experience in all aspects of Onshore and Offshore Exploration and Production including exploration appraisal, development, production and operations Experience in both Operated and non-Operated assets Experience in the operating environments and analysis of oil and gas fields found in Africa

Knowledge, technical skills or expertise required to successfully perform this role – for Essential and for Desirable e.g : Good understanding of Upstream EP business Expertise in production forecasting and reserves analysis Excellent IT skills especially Excel Understanding of economic and financial modelling Understanding of the techniques used to develop, and the limitations of, Independent Reserves Reports and CPR’s Banking knowledge.
