Resident Engineer II
Job Description Locations: Baltimore, MD or Washington DC Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience on major transit or general construction projects as a chief inspector or superintendent. A track record of successful supervision of job site personnel is essential. Familiarity with standard construction terms, reports, procedures, construction drawings, calculations and specifications. Applicants may substitute education in a engineering curriculum at an Accredited junior college, college or university at the rate of thirty semester credit hours for up to one (1) year of the required experience, and N.I.C.E.T. Level 3 or higher certification for one (1) year of the required MTA experience. This position requires expert technical skills, the ability to coordinate and manage technical staff, understand contractor's schedules, enforce work procedures and control project costs. The ability to resolve conflict and find expeditious solutions to field problems is essential. Effective communication, both oral and written, computer skills, and proficiency in maintaining necessary records are a high priority.
