Residential Care Manager Job in Bromyard HR74DX, Midlands UK

We are currently recruiting for a Residential Care Manager to work within a small care home in Herefordshire which specialises in severe learning disabilities.

The Home is for young adults who have severe learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and Autism.

The successful applicant will have at least two years experience at a management / supervisory level in a statutory, voluntary or independent organisation that provides residential services for adults with learning disabilities.

As a successful applicant it will also be essential that you hold and are experienced in the following:-

Hold NVQ level 4 in both management and care or be willing to work towards that level.

Hold the Registered Managers Award or be willing to work towards it.

Two years experience of managing staff.

Two years experience of hands on work with people who have a learning disability and who challenge services, a demonstrable background in first class care and best practice.

You will need to have skills and knowledge in excellent people management skills, excellent hands-on skills with people who have learning disabilities and who challenge services, knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures, performance management techniques, recruitment and selection processes and a valid current driving licence.

Your main responsibilities will be to manage a residential establishment, support residents and their families, develop residents intervention, care and development plans appropriately and to manage and monitor a delegated budget.

Some of your other key tasks will be to act as Service Manager and to attend chair meetings.

This is a 3 month contract starting ASAP.

Hours of work are covered on a rota basis over Monday - Sunday.

The salary range is 24 - 26k (pro rata) dependent on experience.
