Resource Manager
My well known client is an international vendor providing solutions which allow organisations access to powerful data warehousing and enterprise analytic technologies, providing a centralised view of their business, thus enabling them to make more accurate and faster decisions to drive expansion and revenues. As an international leader in focussed information solutions, they have demonstrated impressive growth figures that have set them on a path to dominate their field. They have key relationships in various direct and channel markets, keeping the opposition envious!! Continual global growth and an electrifying surge in technology investment has brought to bare a number of key opportunities for the Asia Pacific Operation. High on the agenda is the acquisition of an outstanding Resource Manager for their innovative Melbourne based Professional Services team.
As a key member of a high impact global team, this unique, pivotal position requires a professional who has excellent knowledge and experience in IT Resource Management. The following are key role objectives:
- Point of contact and issue resolution responsibilities for resource requests.
- Provide input on current and future areas of growth for target skills and skill levels.
- Provide input on current and future training needs based on outlook and requirements.
- Recruit top talent, always having resources available at the right time with the appropriate skill set.
- Maintain the appropriate balance of resources from a Junior to Senior level that allows for the appropriate cost model, staffing, utilization and billing of resources.
- Contribute to the country, area and region capabilities in terms of resource management and planning.
- Preparation and maintenance of resource reports, scorecards, and resource outlook.
The package consists of:
- Base Salary of 80-90k plus Super
- Plus Excellent Bonuses
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A minimum 4-5 years+ experience working for a highly complex solutions provider with core responsibilities for Resource planning and allocation of diversly skilled teams, delivering to multiple high profile commercial customers on disparate and concurrent projects.
- Previous work history could include a strong technical background, perhaps as a Senior Consultant or Project Manager within Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence.
- Experience with any of the following technologies will be viewed favourably: Business Objects, Cognos, SAS, Oracle, Hyperion, Greenplum or Teradata.
- A degree majoring in Computer Science or IT Engineering would be favourable.
- A strong ability to communicate with business decision makers and users.
- Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail, proven planning and strong time management skills.
