Resourcing Manager – Transaction Advisory – Sydney

We're looking for a Resourcing Manager to join our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team. You'll be responsible for working closely with key stakeholders in the practice to forward plan/forecast resource requirements, correspond resource needs with availability, as well as working with other Resource Coordinators (cross service line) to share information, ideas, and apply a consistent best practice planning framework across the business.
You'll be responsible for resource planning, resolving conflicts and monitoring availability and resource shortages through EY's Resource Management System (Retain). As the Resource Coordinator/Manager you'll also work closely with the 'Retain Champions' in each team to collectively monitor and process planning requests. You'll also be responsible for preparing and providing reports to the Management Team, including weekly utilisation availability reports, planned versus actual reports, and monthly forecasts.
You'll be responsible for the oversight and management of the Customer Relationship Management Tool, CRM Interaction for TAS. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the system is reflective of our current opportunity pipeline. You'll be responsible for preparing and providing reports to the Management Team including a comparison to budget for both our Competencies and industry Sectors as well as some other ad hoc reporting when required.
Your ability to analyse and challenge engagement metrics, the allocation of staff to ensure efficiency optimisations as well as ability to be strategic in assigning resources, yet support individual's career objectives will be crucial to the success of this role.
Ideally you will possess:
- A solid understanding of basic financial measurements relating to resources and engagements including production, utilisation and variances
- Some supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (desired but not essential).
- Advanced MS Excel skills is a pre-requisite
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong conflict-resolution and negotiating abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
