Position Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist administers diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to facilitate the patients breathing. He/she evaluates the respiratory care for appropriateness and effectiveness and communicated findings to other healthcare professionals.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Care or Certificate of Program Completion in Respiratory Care; NBRC-RRT registry; Ohio License (Ohio Limited Permit acceptable); CPR certification
Specialized Knowledge: Respiratory Care and Critical Care; Patient Assessment Skills; Clinical Decision Making Skills
Kind and Length of Experience: Clinical experience of at least 1 year; Critical Care experience
Additional Job Information
The position will report to the shift supervisor. The hours are flexible and shifts vary. A minimum of 24 hours per month and 1 weekend shift are required.
